Slowdown brings in low cost housing but with less carpet area

It is slowdown but developers in pune seem to be unfazed and are launching newer schemes albeit in a new format – budget homes.
What is a budget home ?
An apartment which can satisfy basic housing needs, bit smaller rooms (builders call them cozier, sounds romantic !!), lots of cuts on carpet area (but developers call them right sized homes, seems like only they know what is right and what is wrong sized !!).
Somehow the concept is clicking up and every developer right from the bigger one to the smallest is only speaking about budget homes.
Kolte Patil announced Umang Homes starting from Rs.11.22 Lacs at its Lush County Township in Wagholi comprising from 1,1.5,2 BHK apartments.
Few days back it was Greenland County located at Narhe, by Darode Jog which again boasts of 1,1.5 and 2 BHK Homes and I believe the launch price was Rs.2100 or Rs.2250 although I have heard the prices have increased now due to good demand.
Then comes Akruti countrywoods by Akruti City at Katraj Kondhwa link road, again offering cozier homes (I believe the launch price was Rs.2250/-).
Rama Group and Kohinoor group have launched Nano homes (probably took inspiration from TATA’s Nano) and also Swapna Nagari at Chakan by shree sai associates is also an budget cost offering. One more offering at Phursungi is Kumar Swastipuram which was launched at a price of Rs.9 Lacs
All this probably says that we are again going to see older times, maybe prices in the range of Rs.1800-2300. Good news for buyers to own a home.
